What can I expect when working with Abroad with Ease?
You can expect a thoughtful, well-organized travel planning experience from start to finish.
I know your time is valuable and this trip matters. My job is to take the overwhelm off your plate and turn your ideas into a trip that actually fits how you like to travel.
Think of me as your travel matchmaker — connecting the trip you’ve been dreaming about with a plan that makes it real. You’ll get a custom itinerary, smart recommendations, and clear guidance so all you really have to do is pack your bags and enjoy the experience.
Is my trip really custom? Can I give input?
Absolutely. Every trip I plan is fully customized.
This is a collaborative process — I want to hear what excites you, what you want to skip, how you like to travel, and what matters most on this trip. I factor in your interests, pace, budget, preferences, dietary needs, and overall travel style.
You’ll have opportunities to give feedback along the way so the final itinerary truly feels like your trip.
What’s included in travel advising services?
Travel advising services include:
A personal conversation to talk through your trip goals and priorities
Individualized research tailored to your specific trip
Hotel, experience, tour, train, and ground transportation booking support
A customized itinerary designed around your travel style and budget
Thoughtful recommendations so you feel confident and prepared
Please note: I do not book airfare or advise in points/miles programs.
What if I only want help planning part of my trip?
That’s totally fine.
You can choose to have me plan just a portion of your trip — whether that’s one perfect day in a city, a few key days of a longer itinerary, or a specific destination within a larger trip. You tell me how many days you want planned, and I’ll build something great for that time.
How much does travel planning cost?
Travel planning is $100 per travel day, in addition to the cost of your actual travel (hotels, experiences, transportation, etc.).
Because I do not book flights, airfare is handled separately by you.
Payment schedule:
• 50% of the planning fee is due when research begins
• Remaining 50% is due before your final itinerary is delivered
If travel dates change after planning has started, a $75 change fee applies.
Can I make changes to the proposal?
Yes — within reason and timing.
Once we’ve agreed on the general direction of your trip, I’ll create an initial proposal. This is a working draft, not the final itinerary. You’ll have an opportunity to review and give feedback so we can refine it together.
Once the final itinerary is approved and booking begins, changes can no longer be made.
What if I change my mind about the destination?
Travel planning is time-intensive and highly customized to your specific trip.
If you decide to change destinations after planning has begun, that requires starting fresh. I’m always happy to do that, but a new planning fee will apply for the days planned. More info here in terms and conditions.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
My role is to make sure you are well-prepared before you leave, with a clear itinerary and solid bookings in place. I always recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of cancellations, delays, or unexpected issues.
Once you’re traveling, my services do not include on-trip concierge support. While I book and organize your plans, I don’t control airlines, hotels, tour operators, or transportation providers.
Each supplier operates independently, and changes or cancellations are ultimately handled by them. Full details are outlined in the terms and conditions.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not required, but it is strongly recommended, especially for international travel. It provides protection for trip interruptions, medical needs, and unexpected changes that are outside anyone’s control.
Is this the right fit for me?

Abroad with Ease is built for travelers who want thoughtful planning and a collaborative experience. It might not be the right fit if:
You’re looking for free travel advice or quick recommendations without booking planning services
You want someone to book airfare or monitor flight prices for you
You prefer to plan every detail yourself and just want someone to double-check it
You’re shopping for the cheapest possible option rather than the best value for your trip
You want constant, real-time concierge support while you’re traveling
You’re still very undecided and not quite ready to move forward with planning
And that’s okay — not every travel style (or planner) is a perfect match.
